I was just wondering if someone on here would know if you are able to run an aftermarket computer legally on duel fuel cars (lpg/petrol) or is that only for dedicated lpg cars. Would it be possible to only hook the computer up to the gas side of things and leave the standard computer to run the car on fuel or would it just be better to ditch the fuel system altogether

every engineer has his own opinion and every state has their own law

so dont ask anyone on here

ring afew engineers adn go for the most leanient one

if they are prepared to pass yr car then go with them

end of day not many engineers will past aftermarket ecus due to the fact once they are tuned u can easily change the settings

but if u hide the ecu then they might not worry bout it

but if u have to pass a proper full emissions test then u might have probs
getting it passed due to the tune might not pass u might take 5 to 10 goes and spend over 2 to 3 g on passing it

ive seen this happen many times

do not take anyhting for granted i fu go for full emissions test

and dont listen to anyone its very hard to pass

The test itself isn't all that hard the problem is getting your tune right for the test.

You could spend thousands in Dyno time trying to pass then still fail.

On top of all that you would spend weeks going theough the test procedure as each time you fail you need to re-book a test.

If your car has a defect on it all this time you will find the rego is pulled on it.
