1UZFE 1976 GMC pick up

Hi everyone.Have been reading things on this site for few years and thinking to do 1uz swap one day...
Had Lexus LS400 couple years ago and loved this car very much.And the best was it's V8.
So couple month ago bougth 1976 GMC pick up with no engine in it.It already have been lowered,had LSD diff just needed decent engine to add...
Didin't want to go old GM V8,so choise was Lexus 1uz cheap and great engine.
Bought LS400 for few hundred and started.
This site is so great and helpful,I would never did this without it's help.Thanks everyone who share their experience.

Had to buy Soarer oil sump...

Used Land Rover V8 mounts.And here engine is in its new home...

Had to use Xcessivemanufacturing oil relocation plate.Very nice piece...

Fuel system.Fitted original LS400 fuel pump into GMC tank.

The bigest challenge for me was wiring...It took me a lot of reading and then figure out all that thing as I had not much understanding about it...
But finally I did it.

WOW! Nice work. I am putting everything together for a 1UZFE with a M112 Eaton and a Supra 5 speed in my 73 Nova SS. Keep it up. Glad I am not the only older Chevy dude on here.

Thanks.My future plan also would be 350z manual box and couple turbos or supercharger to add here.Have to save some money for parts....
Truck running great but need a bit more power.But still good daily drive.

Funny your going to use the 350Z transmission and I am looking at using the 350Z rearend in my car. Too bad your so far away we could split a car.

Yes it is.I have 2006 LQ9 and 4l80e in it.Did conversion last year just before Christmas.It also has coilovers all around and 4 link rear suspension.

Have you had a chance to try out your exhaust , does it work okay .... nice V8 sound and performance?

Sure I did it worked and sounded great.Truck is sold now,but I realy miss it...
