1st gen pioneer amp replacement

Does anyone know where I'd find the stock amp "in" a 91 1st gen ls400 W/ stock CD player...I was thinking of replacing it with a larger sized one along w/the 1000 amp 2ohm subwoofer I reciently re-routed from another project.

I recalled somewhere in earlier posts about the sub part of the system may be 2ohm... Is this true? Will I need a specific type of amp?

I only plan on using about a 400 to 600 watt amp. Does anyone have any suggestions...? Any input will do...
