These torque converter are rebuild with performance in mind.  These TC are special order and made to my specifications.  Here we will take a tour to the shop where is it made.  Here is how the Lextreme torque converter work will in your Lexus V8.  Now performance Tundra and inline 6 (2JZGE) torque converters available!

The first thing we do is to open up the old-warn out torque converter.

This process requires lathing on a machine. You notice lots of oil comes out.

Each internal pieces are dis-assembled

The whole disambled TC is steam clean in a larger container along with the container in this pic.

The TC then goes through an aligment process on the lathe. Secondly, we also lathe off the fins to make TC stronger.

After the TC is fully clean and ready to stall speed setting.

Parts are ready to be install. All internal parts are fully clean.

A closer look at the TC fins.

After the stall speed is set, we tig weld all the fins for maximum stregth.

A finished product with fins welded to the wall of the TC.

Some grinding might required for assembly of the TC.

Minor details need to be finish.

Hand assembled with precision.

The TC is ready to be welded and balanced.

This procedure is tagging the TC with balancing.

After its balanced, the TC goes on the lathe for automated welding to enclose the unit.

After the TC is welded and its pressurized under water and check for leaks.

After the torque converter is done, it will be painted for a fresh look.  This product will be stronger than stock and have better launch than stock for couples of reasons:

1. The stall speed is set higher than stock.  Therefore, launch will be harder
2. All fins or flex plate are welded to the torque converter for maximum strength.  This will allow high horse power applications.

This is a rebuilt Torque Converter (TC) for ALL LEXUS and TOYOTA cars with a stall speed of around 2800 or higher rpm. Specific Speeds available at an additional charge.

You must specify the Year, Make, Model, and your Torque Converter will be on its way in 2 weeks!

This stall speed is perfect for all forced induction applications or just OEM replacement. These TC have been PROFESSIONALLY rebuilt by a high performance torque converter specialist with 20 years + of experience. You are getting nothing BUT THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!

Failure modes for torque converters manifest themselves in different ways: slow failure, i.e. loss of power over time, instant failure, i.e. input shaft spine failure. With the aging TC’s, its time to refresh your Torque Converter. Lexus/Toyota OEM TC is very expensive and after market TC’s will run you around $900. This is the best alternative to above methods.

After you receive the TC, all you have to do is to send us back your old one and we will refund you the $175 deposit. Special stall speed requests will be assessed and additional fee of $50. REMEMBER YOUR SATISFACTION IS GUARANTEED OR YOUR MONEY BACK within 6 months and less of Paypal fee.   If you have any Questions, please Email me regarding the TC.

Now the question I always get.  How is this torque converter compare to the one sells for $900.  I do not know and no one will have an objective answer.  Would more expensive torque converter be better?  We will never goes to find out.  Unless you have two identical cars to test side by side in 0-60 and 1/4 mile.  Different stall speed will give you different results.  Its really hard to say.  However, you will save $600 and use it for yourself.

1. If you break it, send it back and get a replacement!
2. If you break it again, send it back and we will refund you the full amount
3. TC has two years warranty from the day of delivery
4. Our TC is many times stronger than stock.  Our fins are tig welded to the wall and it unbreakable.

This is a freelance site with no support by huge companies.  I have been doing most of the R&D and technical write-ups by myself with my personal money and literally thousands of hours of my time.  I have taken extra steps to demonstrate in details how things are done.  Currently I am one of the few people doing Lexus V8 research and performance enhancement.  This effort comes from my personal love for this wonderful engine.  Most of the modifications are from trial and error. There's no cookbook for 1UZFE mods and its unknown territory for much of supercharger performance.  The parts, labor, web development and site hosting are 100% paid from my personal hobby money.  If you feel my efforts help you in any form, please do not hesitate to donate any amount of money to support this site. You have no idea how much I and the entire Lexus and Toyota community appreciate it!

  1. Just checking to see if the TC for 1UZFE is still available. I have the stock TC in hand ready to ship. Can you rebuild this one or do you have others ready to ship?

  2. Are you still offering torque converters for the 2001 lexus gs430 i am interested in buying one and what would be the turn around time

  3. Is this service still available? Would like a 2001 gs300 2jz ge converter modified into a higher stall, 3700-4000rpm
