Why doesnt the TRD oil filler cap fit the 1UZ?

Weird, Toyota's TRD site says the caps specifically dont fit the 1UZ. Do you have a pic?

Same here, TRD alloy. Was purchased off Ebay though so may be a TRD 'copy' ? Looks the goods though and fits no probs.

Thanks for the feedback Justen. I was beginning to wonder if TRD specifcally thought the design was not suited to the 1UZ rather than simply thread differences. Got pics?

there's a few towards the bottom of page 4 of the thread which are almost current and have the TRD oil cap in them

i didnt put the trd sticker on it though, as it is in a bmw and it looks better without it. i dont know what it is meant for, as i just went into my local toyota place who had trd stuff and they happened to have an ls400 on the lot, which i tried it on and fitted. im pretty sure toyota standardise their oil caps so most are the same no matter what engine you have.

Just be sure to buy the Screw type and not the Twist (As on a 2JZ SC motor) type cap and it should fit as shown by others here.
