I got two sets of H-Beam rods for my Project Lextreme. A brand new set of Eagle ESP 3D with ARP L-19 bolts and rated 1,200 hp. Eagle rods are about mid $500. The other set is a used set Carrillo H Beam rod with Carr 22 SPS bolts. This set was supposely have one track time. The Carrillo rods was removed from a NASCAR and got it off ebay for $450 with brand new pin end bushing. I am not sure how much hp is Carrillo H Beams are rated. They are retail at $2,200. So which set should i use? Here are some pictures below. Left is Carrillo, Right is Eagle. From the look of it. Eagle seems to be little lighter than Carrillo.

Here are the weights:
I have the official weight:
1UZFE Rod: 628g
2UZFE Rod: 581g
3UZFE Rod: 581g
Eagle Rod: 673g
Carrillo Rod: 684g

Eagles are forged in China, with little to no Quality Assurance. Carillos are forged in the USA with strict QA guidelines. 90% of the rating comes from the bolts though. The CARR bolts are about as strong as you can get.

Carillos would be stronger, and would probably last longer as well.

Can not beat the Eagle prices though. Although this might change in the near future with the proposed Tarriffs on Chinese imports.
