what do i need for it to run

hay all.. ive been searching this awesome forum for info on what looms i need to remove from the front cut i have for my 1uz to run in my hilux... but cant find any and i have also been contemplating running the manual box but also want run the stock ecu .. any tips on makin it run with the manual box.
any help would be a blast cheers brad

What is the half cut? Crown, LS400 or Soarer?

Do you plan on running the auto or a manual.

zuffin.. its a 1994 celsior.. so far i have stripped the whole front end..i have managed to take the whole loom out.. i have been trying to find the correct wiring diagram so that i can remove all the unneccary wires out of the loom..such at abs, climate control, tilt and telescopic steering column control and all the other controls i wont need..im dropping the engine into a 99 toyota hilux. it is also bagged and body drop with RX7 irs and was hoping to keen it as clean and wireless as possible.. if i can run the manual without doing to much work i would love to...i have have an end mill and lathe so machining any part i need to get the manual to bolt up to it wont be a problem
as jst one last thing..if i get an after market computer can i do away with the entire old engine loom..and run all new wires to the sensors and senders..jst to make it a lil neater

It may be easier for you to drop over and have a look at my loom.

Basically it's a standard loom and the hook up isn't hard.

Welcome Brad,

The standard ECU will work fine with a manual box.
If you go to a stand alone ecu all you will need is some of the loom plugs.

Don't just hack in though, pull out as much of the loom in one piece as you can and work backwards from there.

Did you start the 1/2 cut before pulling it apart?

Rod will give you in's and out's of making it run.

It looks like you have quite a ride there when are you doing the roof chop? that thing is in the weeds.

cobber thanks for the tips.. i didnt have a chance to run it in the front cut..then engine had alread been removed..i did manage to compression test it and also test if it have oil pressure..all came up fine... and besides that the engine has never been messed with in it life..only the cam belt has been change..i mannage to get the hole engine service history with it to..so all is good... about the roof chop...they may come later..my head hits the roof already with the 3 3/4 inch body drop..and yes its quite in the weeds...tucks half of my 20 inch rims..im stoked with it!!
