V8 into MGB Won't Go?

Soarer is rear sump.
Crown is mid sump
And (surprise) the LS400 is front sump

We should have an article published in a few weeks with all the differences between the 1UZ-FE engines.

At this stage we've identified and logged most of the differences between 5 distinct models. And everyone thought there were only 3 different models.

There was an article in Zoom a while age with a 350 chev in a MG. They mounted the alternator under the car with a pulley and belt off the diff to get it to fit!

Hi Quad - Thanks for the info but, no, I'm not surprised. The Rover/Buick engine is the most popular transplant to MGB with Ford V8's gaining in popularity. However a few do shoehorn the Chevy in the car even though it is heavier & larger & correspondingly more difficult. I was keen to try a Lexus V8 which seemd a more effective design but have virtually given up the idea. Regards, V8er
