Unknown button on dash

Hi.. I have discovered a button on the dash... just bellow the hood release ... I tried looking it up in the manual with no luck. Does anyone know what it is ?

The button looks to be a non std button. Trace the wiring. That will tell you.
Its possible, if the car has an after market alarm system, it could be the reset button or coding button for the remotes.

Found out the button turns the chirp on/off when locking / unlocking the doors.
