This morning was deja vu of what happen four months ago. The engine rev hard and fast but my car wasnt going anywhere. After few blocks, the whole drivetrain was completely alienated from the engine. Called up my tranny friend of mine and he said tow it to his shop. He opened up the tranny with burnt smell. He stated it was the lower gear ring or bearing jacked up. Now, i have no time for a build tranny. I guess I will get another stock tranny will saving up for a build tranny or a TH400.
With the trannies breaking. I know the my single turbo LS400 is more then 300. I think its more like late 300 or low 400 rwhp. Two days ago, I got an oil change and the tranny oil was checked and it was ok. So it wasnt that my tranny was low on oil.
There are many questions about the Lextreme Converter. All I can say is this. I broke two trannies before I break my TC.
