TPS part numbers

Hello people,

I'm chasing a new throttle position sensor (TPS) for a 1994 Celsior.

Its currently running what I think is an earlier model Soarer throttle body and TPS, prior to conversion it was a trac control model.

The current TPS is faulty, and hence chasing a new one.

My question is what is the difference between the part numbers on TPS units ?

For instance the soarer one is listed as a 89452-12050 and the Celsior is 89452-32060. Is there any difference between these ? Its just that there seems to be a significant price difference between the two.

So does anyone know why there is different part numbers for what seems to be identical parts ?

I interchange many different TPS, even ones of other toyotas. Or use the Traction control one and cut the little tag off it so the plug fits. As long as they physically look the same they generally work. Cheers

Ive tended to use that general rule myself, some confirmation is all I needed.
