Just got the news that my LS520 is running. MAF was bad. Anyway, my friend gave me an aftermarket timing belt and it was physically too wide and crapping the trigger wheel. So, I should have pay little more and get an OEM directly from Toyota and save me few hundred dollars on changing the T Belt again. So, my advice is that you should consider OEM first. It was only 1/16" wider and I pay dearly for it.

You are right but at that time I didnt have any in stock, so my friend had some and I used it. Costly mistake as I can share the experience with all of you...

I've been using aftermarket Mitsubisho timing belt and I have no problem. It just fits like OEM. Your issue could be either a bad one from the manufacturer or somehow it's aligned too close to the trigger gear.
