My friend Peter and I have the privilege to test drive David (Lextreme) turbo LS400 the other day. Here was my impression of it. The car was spectacular in performance and over exceeded my expectation. I own LS400 and SC400 myself and I can never imagine our engine could performe that well when it's turbo charge. David car give so much torque that its suck me to my seat and screaming for mercy. Only when you let off the gas is when you realized how fast you are going. We took a couple of video clips for you guys to see. There will be 2 clips of video. The first one I was driving the car while my friend peter was the camera man. The second my friend was driving the car and I was filming. Excuse our profanity because we were pretty excited. The video make us seem like we are going slow but infact it was pretty fast. Also it was a residentail area so I do not really floor the car. It was pretty much from one stop sign to the next but you can see how fast we go if you pay close attention to the houses we past by.
If you guys who have trouble playing the video clips with window media play please download this program. http://www.download.com/VLC-Media-Player/3000-2194_4-10497762.html?tag=lst-0-1
It's a very good player. It will play almost every video format. Here is the first video (big file)

Thats right. Sorry for the confusion. I'll try to make the video smaller and upload it to a different server soon.

Nice vid, i donno if its just something wrong with my computer, but the picture is kinda... fuzzy, i donno, its not really fuzzy, its something else... maybe its just my computer.

That sounds very nice david :) cant wait to see you run it at the track one day so us non-locals can know how fast it really is

Downloading the video right now. Can't wait to see it.
As for no pic and only sound, you need to check your codecs and make sure you have the right one(s).

thassa quick car - pity about the 5000rpm gearchanges!

and i honestly don't condone 80mph in a suburban street.

The quickest way to download the clips is (1) right-click on the link (2) click on Save Target As (3) left-click as usual to save the clip (4) When it's done saving, click Open to view the clip.

James and David,
All I hear was your chit-chat and laughs. Just kidding. That's awesome, men! I bet you won't get far when I'm in my stock SC with one condition: the street has to be the one that has many bumps like the one you took us to Pathfinder Park meet. LOL. :veryhappy

I can't really tell you how much I miss that Blow Off Valve sound. Whoo....sh! When it goes off, I feel like all of my inside-body-gas goes off at the same time...hah..hah..hah. I'm eager to have one FI system now. At least 6 psi would satisfy me somewhat. Size/pressure do matter.

For the record, i was not in the car. Peter and James were the drivers. I was working on the twin turbo headers while they stole my car and did some joy rides. LOL.... They were going too fast on my street. I told them to take it to an industry street or the free way. The chit-chat was from James and Peter.

I wish they have gone to the freeway or an industry street so they can really open up the hidden beast.

If they stole your car, how were you able to chase your car back? Since your LS is so quick, the only solution was that they felt guilty just as I did when I thought about your huge Garrett GT40...:sorry: Let it be back to its rightfully owner.

***I'm wondering if you or James can clock your LS at either 0-60 mph or 1/4 mile on the street. The passenger can clock it while the driver can concentrate on driving. It's a little slower for 2 people so we'll reduce a 1/4 second to the result and that seems fair.

lex your exhuast sounds nice and deep, how do you have it set up again? i've kept mine stock in fear off it sounding like a rowdy mustang and that i plan on an sc300 na-t anyway, but i am curious, i think you pulled off a good tone.

You can actually get around with high flow exhaust but still keep the noise down. There're several types of mufflers that give different performance and tones. Depend on how large the pipe diameter that you run (the bigger, the noisier), the best muffler for noise and performance is the one that is long, fat or wide with smooth mesh inside. Wide one looks a lot better and also will fit under the car better. The bigger or wider mufflers absorb the noise a lot more than the skinny ones while still have the same flow capacity. That's why most stock mufflers have wide dimension, but they're so restrictive when they're not straight and large enough. Also, you may install a high-flow resonator in front of the muffler to absorb the noise once more.
