Supra vs. Skyline

We're...umh.. both wrong. The Ford GT factory specified it at only 11.6 for 14 mile. And that's for a professional dragger. For a novice, I think that could be in the 12s range. The car has 3485 lbs and only 550 bhp. These number seems to be reasonable. With this weight, it'll need around 1000 bhp to get in the 10s range.

Jibbby I would suggest playing some racing games like gran turismo or watching the fast and the furious series lol you'll learn to admire the RB26's like everyone else and the oh-so-sexy R34 body.

(american car makers still havent figured out that turning is kinda a reqired thing for a car to do at some point in its life.) agreed

and while we are on the topic of super fast cars why does'nt someone go all out with a Bugatti Veyron (search it now) they're only 6 million

I've watched the fast and the furious and still do not appreciate the RB26's and the oh-so sexy R34 body...To me they look like a small sized average looking rice machine with a fake and over exaggerated nos system.... That's just my take...

Give me the 16 cylinder Bugatti for a couple of mil all day long with a full bumber to bumber 5 year, 100,000 warranty.. Why not throw in some free oil changes and tuneups while we are still dreaming here...Better yet give me a great looking woman whom is very sweet, naked and sitting in the passanger seat when the car is delivered...Now that I can appreciate!!:smoker:

did someone just post props on a FORD TAURUS SHO?? Just used one as a transport van for my heads yesterday... what a piece of crap. The engine is engineered for economy, yet I could barely squeeze 20mpg and the entire car felt like a total dog. People who boost GM v6 engines should be shot!

The Fords I would own, GT500 67, GT500 2008 model, Shelby Cobra old school, Ford GTT, A couple of Saleens maybe and that's it... Oh, and a 2008 Ford Excursion Diesel...

Come on guys I would bet there is a few Fords you wouldn't mind cruising around in, no?

Only ford i would buy would be big trucks. They make a good work horse Ill give them that. My dad has three F-750's w/ caterpillar diesel engines. They beat the crap out of the standard cummins type w/ astandard 600lb of torque... (LOL but only 250hp).

The taurus I was borrowing seriously felt like it needed to be on life support... 100K and feels like its last legs, just MHO.

I have dreamed of owning a clean Ford Taurus... That's my dream car no dought.... Throw a racing stripe on it, lower it, slap on some rims and tint and then pimp that ride all day long.. Then watch how that ride drives the ladies crazy... :love:

Warning - If you try to boost it though, it will simply blow apart even at 1 psi... It's strickly a cruiser...:tongue1:

The Fords I drove and was a passenger in while both times I have been to U.S I can see why you guys don't like them too much..
Body stiffness and handing are missing big time in your domestic family sedans..
I guess we are lucky in that we have had Japanese cars here for some time. Our local car manu have cought up some what.. The new GTO comes from dwn under as well...
But I have say down here in Aussie the www.fpv.com.au range would go down well there especially in the performance / handling dept..

Not too sure on the front treatment ?? But as with all new models they seem to grow on you.. Subaru are similar..

The Ford Police Cruisers I hear are built well if you can believe that... The Crown Victoria's and what not... Cab drivers buy them at police auctions with a 100,000 miles on them and then drive them for another 200,000 no problem..... Rumor has they are built up, like stronger tranny and suspension so they last..

Don't quote me on this, as cab drivers have told me these stories... Anybody want a Ford Police cruiser to cruise? They sport around 220-250 bhp at stock, kinda gutless for a V8 police vehicle......

dude that means a street race with a cab driver would be quite a fight for a stock 1uz. 250hp vs 250hp in vehicles that are decently close in weight. lol I could be in a LS400 and potentially get owned by a big ol' yellow boat with a fez named muhammed behind the wheel... but then again thats quite a quick trip across town.

the new V6 has the reliabilty and performance of the Aussie XR6T...

The new Ford GT500 is a bad arse car if you ask me...Seen them motor and they are fast... That is the one Ford I would be very happy with... The GT40 is a monster too...

Remember the Ford Lighting truck? Was that any good? How about the Ford Saleen's of the past, I've seen some brutal ones with real muscle...

Burn the rest of the Fords though as they are not worthy....

Spf Lexus - Yes a police cruiser caby and stock Lexus 400 would be a very race for sure... I probably would go with the Yellow cab if I had to pick who would win...

We get various cars at work .. Its a semi gov .. Power supply co.. I must say most the vehicles there I wouldn't buy!! I think they are made to discount price for fleet vehicles...The vehicles bought privately are much better ...I have heard the these cars in U.S pass through various authorities of gov and from city to country as miles go up..
The speedo on taxi in Chicago I'm sure started with 4xx,xxx the driver said it came from New York when it was new...
Ha ! He drove into a dead end street .. As if I didn't know what he was doing.. Gave him a $10 tip and told him we are not that dumb from down under and don't usually tip....
