Here are some photos of a supercharged 1uz jetboat which we have been working on lately. Boat is 16 foot long running 6.8 psi on a G1 linkplus intercooled LS400 251cc injectors and a berkeley jetunit out the back. Just over 100km/h on the water. Jet turbine to be adjusted next to improve performance now power has increased. Dry exhaust fitted for tuning down the river.

Is that a Paxton SC? Any idea on power/torque?

It's a nice compact setup

Justen, I think it may be a Powerdyne head unit. Powerdyne was popular with Mustangs and worked well for low boost. It uses a kevlar cog belt drive instead of intermeshed gears. This eliminates the need for oil, reduces noise and simplifies installation. There used to be many problems with belts breaking. I do not know if that has been solved. If it has it is worth a look for moderate output luxury cars like Lexus due to the above points.

That jetboat should move well with that centrifugal charger setup.....Is it a salt or fresh water boat? Any pics of the boat itself?

No pictures of the boat itself sorry. Will try to remember next time we go out. It is a Powerdyne unit and goes really well once the unit gets grip - we are working on that next. The boat is mainly used on fresh water rivers but has been in the sea a few times. No power figures as setting up on the dyno would be a pain. Only running standard injectors at 88-90% duty cycle when at full throttle. 100Km/h on water feels pretty fast and the owner has been known to throw it sideways at 80km/h. He broke his seat off once doing just that. Cheers

Being that it has a heat exchanger it can run in eaither...
Where do you run it ?
Lake Karapiro, Waikato river, Raglan ???

The Waikato mainly is where it is used. Yes it does run a closed loop cooling system. I have two more motors to prepare for use in jetboats. Will be setting up soon. Cheers

I've run parts of the Waikato in a jet boat.

Gee I want one but what would I do with it?

Scare the 18' sailors on Syd Harbour?
