spd level from instrument panel to ecu

Can anyone tell me what voltage level the ecu expects from the speedo signal that's buffered by the instrument cluster.


I know it's a 12v pulse from the sender to the cluster, does the cluster output generate it to a standard 5v logic level or is it still left at a 2 volts clock pulse
