My tranny makes a wierd clunking noise in the bellhousing area when shifting through the gears when not driving. When Im driving It sounds like something is grinding. I can also hear the clunking noise when I let off the gas and when I press the gas when driving. I recently changed the tranny fluid and used redline tranny fluid but didnt make any difference. Im gonna be turboing it here soon but need the tranny to be in good condition. Id rather do the TH400 swap than pay 500-800 for another used tranny. But if I can fix my tranny that would be good too. Any ideas would be great.
