Resonators on an LS400

I've been looking around, and if i want a more V8 sound without changing the exhaust, would pulling the resonators out work? Or, would it be a bad idea.

no they will open up a few ponies and will be louder too. keeping final mufflers and ditch the pre mufflers should do the trick. a set of S&S headers will open up more dB and power as well.

The easiest, cheapest, quickest way is to remove the final two mufflers. This will give you some V8 sound as well as remove some weight. Best of all... its FREE.

Give it a try. If you like it any exhaust shop can make up some pipe from the old outlets to the bumper OR you can run like I do simply without the mufflers.

I've been pretty damn busy, but I'm going to cut out the resonators today and we shall see what happens!
