Reprogramming keys with just the ECM

When I got the donor, I reprogrammed a spare key for it, which involved opening and closing the door, pressing the pedals and putting the key in and out.

Is this all still possible without a lot of the body loom?

IIRC, the door opening bit was for the remote keyfob, which I don't need. I just need the immobiliser, which possibly was just the pedals.

I'm thinking it possibly needs the Multiplex ECU and door ECU.

He's right, keys reprogramming is straghtforward on all 1UZ's.

Best if you have master key though. You can then add and delete keys using toyota's native techstream software and chinese mini vci cable. Without master key, the only option left is key reading device and eeprom programmer. You can't reset immo system with some software like on newer toyotas.
