i have rain in the car the passenger window piller, were the trim meets the dash its get in rain water in, i put a new window in by some comp.. but i cant call them back cause i only paid 175 for the window, someone owed me, so any ways the only way to recaulk it would be to break the window and start over, i put a hose to try and find were the water was coming from but no luck, i think it only happens when the car moves pushing the water up to some hole,
no should i take off all the rubber and caulk from the out side of of the window???? this is the worst thing in the world, i just hate it seeing little drips of water fall into the car, i put a towel jammed in to the door is it wont fall on the floor still sucks tho if anyone could please help this would help me out thanks

Sorry Mate but this is going to be a pain in the arse job for you.

Any technician getting a car in for service with a water leak always groans and sees his oproductivity bonus go out of the window while he spends hours with hoses pipes and air guns trying to solve a problem.

The trouble with water is it settles at the lowest point, which is generally miles away from where it came in. Plus being effected by air pressure forcing it along unatural routes really adds to the problem.

Persevere and also I suggest phoning a dealer as their service department may have some experience with similar water leaks on this model and their cause. Failing that try your countriy's Lexus importer as their warranty department may have historically paid some claims on similar leaks and have a history on the work involved.

Cheers and good luck

RayRay--- Check the drain tube for the moonroof. There is a hose that runs from a nipple on each corner of the moonroof to a hose and down the "A" pillars. If that comes off it can cause the same type of leak you describe.

yea i did a rain test (with the hose) i dont think it comes from the front window i think it comes down from the door then it drips off the pillars, but yea it sucks i will check thos things out and see if they work thanks guys o yea does anyone know how to get the inside trim off by the pillars so i can try to see?
