Position of cats

Wanting to know the distance from the manifold flange to the cats. Talked with the exhaust guy and he said this is critical to the performance of the cats. The engine is a 1989 1UZ and the original exhaust went along the RHS of the transmission. As this was a front cut it was cut off at rear of trans so no idea where cat was positioned.
The engineers wants this to meet EuroIV specs for some reason

Just in front of the gearbox crossmember is fine. Sub O2s go behind that
