that sucks having to apply for permits before you can modify your car...

here in syd you just do the mod then take it to an engineer afterwards.... sometimes emissions tests are required, but only the ones the rta does on their dynos... (been knocked back 4 times trying to get my rotor engineered).

you say this is a new national guidline is it being written into the ADR's and if so where as this is the only national legislation governing vehicles. all modifications are certified at a state level and i have not heard of queensland bringing in such legislation.

i havent heard anything about this for nsw either....

besides, it's not like people actually follow these rules.... or therwise you'd never hear of 20b rotaries in rx3's (cant see how that could ever be legal, but it happens)... or v8 twin turbo torana's in excess of 1000hp "street legal" setups....

aint gonna happen....
