Modifications to 1UZ-FE with very low hood

Hi guys!
Can you suggest any modifications to increase the power of a stock non vvti 1UZ if the hood of my car lies very close to the engine, so that even the overall plastic cover of the engine doesn't fit there? E.g. does a turbo kit require additional space over the engine? Thank you!

Lower the subframe, this is very easy I did that for my jz swap in my s14

Thank you! But I don't quite understand what should be lowered. Does it make the engine sit lower? If yes, it's not my case.

Change the intake manifold it sits pretty high
