hi want to run an aftermarket ecu but dont want a manual gearbox does anyone know what you have to do to make it manual shift( so it dosn't need ect)

3 options
1) leave the stock ecu there to control the auto. Never wired an aftermarket ecu up like this, can't comment on how easy it is.
2) get a shiftbox to manually shift the auto. MV Automatics, KDog, there are a few around, $300ish I think.
3) get a autobox stand alone ecu for about $1100, and program it to shift automatically like the factory one.

Or if your handy with the soldering iron, go to an electronic component wholesaler and buy 4 hi current power diodes at about 50 cents each and wire them in using the the gear position selector switch on the side of the tranny to sol 1 and 2. mine is wired like this and works well. will post up a diag. kris
