I'm a bit technologically challenged (read vacant) about where to find the ECU on my Celsior/LS400. I am having it chipped next week and it would help if I could steer the guy as to where to find it without him pulling the whole car apart.

I have a 1990 Celsior and when I was having tranmission issues they suspected it was the ECU, they replaced the ECU and it was located behind and under the glovebox where the Aircon gear is.
I dont know much about ECU's but I think that in 1st generation Celsiours there is a single ECU for both the tranmission and the engine. If thats the case then im pretty sure its behind and under the glovebox.
ANy more details regarding the chip your using?

Thanx for your prompt reply about the ECU.

I am installing an APS Unichip to be fitted by Kelvin at C-N-J Motorsports in Brisbane. They are one of two authorized dealers for this model chip and I have to say he is the most accommodating person I have ever met. So far the car has been to his workshop twice and he is yet to charge me. He keeps saying that this happens from time to time when working on modified cars, you always find something not quite right that necessitates you coming back.
If you want any more info from him, here is the link....... http://www.cnjmotorsport.com.au/

He is putting on a smaller pulley for my supercharger and installing the Unichip as soon as I have the pulley fabricated. The original pulley will not fit the custom install so I have to get one made. When all this is done and dusted, I am aiming for around 200rwKw. I'll keep you posted.

Sounds like a very nice setup nforcr, unfortunately a supercharger is but a dream for me at the moment....
What would be a ballmark figure to get a 1UZ supercharged and on the road?
