Injectors from a holden ???

I've been given a full set of 8 holden V8 injectors. They are brand new and probably worth a few bucks (i'm not owning up to being a holden fan here....).

I've compared them visually to the 1uz ones I have. The centre section looks identical in every way. The nozzle end has a different rubber seal which could easily be swapped. On the end of the nozzle there is a yellow plastic part which looks like its just a tight fit and I think it could be removed and it would maybe look identical to the 1uz ones. The electrical plugs are similar but not the same and would need the harness connections changing.
The top part which meets up with the fuel rail is very different and I think the only way to get around it would be to hand build a new fuel rail. I big job, but not impossible.
Now, I've not worked out whether these would even supply the correct amount of fuel as I've only just been given them...
It would be a lot of messing around to fit them....is it worth it? I'm not sure....new injectors certainly would be nice as I could no way afford brand new gen 1uz ones.....

Maybe it would be wiser to sell these holden ones and put the money towards the real mackoy ?

What are the injector part no. I have a set from a 215 kw holden but they only flow arround 19 - 20 pound an hour and I think the ls 400 one are greater than this. I also need larger injectors but not sure what the holden ones are worth????

I have some 44lb Ford ones that are physically identicle to the Holden ones.

You can drill the fuel rail to 12.5mm (I think) and they will fit.

I think it worth putting thrm on eBay and then buying some 440cc Toyota ones.

Domestic injectors are slightly larger in the inlet end. U need you either modify the fuel rail or the injectors itself. The easiest way to increase great flow would be the Mazda Rx7 injectors. http://www.lextreme.com/rx7injectors.html They are very cheap on ebay. Get the 460 cc with oval plug (S4), they are plug and play on all UZFE. Make sure you get them clean and balance. These holden ones are made by bosch. Part # 280 150 960.

Sounds like these will not flow high enough? Ebay might be the way to go then.......

the stock injectors on a 1UZ are around 220cc for early motors.

so 190odd is LESS than you have now!

960 injectors are from the 5L V8 and 3.8L V6, they are black tops. The blue top 775s are from the 215kw strokers and are rated at 24lb, they are also found on 2.6L 4cyl Magnas so can be bought nice and cheap from wreckers.
