Hello,

I've recently purchased a 98 GS400 and would like to swap to a manual 5 speed. I've been doing the research (and math) and decided on the R154. If anyone has more info on the modified bell housing, I would appreciate it. Also, I will be looking at doing some modifications on the engine (later, much later), so would there be a specific ECU that I should be considering that will allow for modifications down the road ?

Final question, what year range and model would most likely have a donor R154 ?

Donor will be MKIII Supra Turbo......... Rod shop in australia make a kit for it.... ECU can be trick letting it think its in N or P.

Hi Jugg_head,
Pretty much all of the questions that you're looking to have answered have all been posted here at one time or another. Just do a search on some key words, like R154, manual, in fact look at the post 'manual in SC400' for some good info. Spend time digging through the threads, and you won't be disappointed.

Also, remember to document your conversion, so that once you're done, other people can benefit from your knowledge, mistakes etc.
