Igniters?

Hi all,

My project has turned into an ordeal with things like AFM, Alternator, igniters etc etc etc having been pinched by the "organic mechanic"

Question is, does anyone know how I deterimine what the part number is for the igniters i need for a 1992 Toyota Soarer V8 engine?

And if so, any clues on where to get them?

Please someone help before I pour petrol all over it and have a 1uz bbq

Found it, sorry for asking a question that could be answered by searching but the search function hasnt been working for me for some reason,

89621-12050 seems to be the ones

They are available off several other toyota's of that era.

i know sss have a box full of ignitors
they might have some for a soarer

the ignitors usually have a 3 digit number on them
its the largest number
just quote that

Cobber, thats what I thought. US based info tells me that they can be from numerous other models.

Yesterday I checked at least 50 cars in wrecking yards, Camry, Starlet, Hilux, infact I ended up just checking every Toyota I came accross and not one 201 or 89621-12050 so Aussie cars must have different igniters, ugg.

Thanks Jim, I will call first thing monday as they (hopefully) are the only thing stopping it firing.

finding them in other cars is very hard
from all the toyotas i have wired up the only ones i know that match are
from an mr2 or from a 4ag 20v
so all most people are just wating time looking for others in wrecking yards
especially in australia
mr2s u wont find many in wrecking yards
and 20v ignitors are harder to find than 1uzs

the is also 3 or 4 diff types im pretty sure the 201 type is a 20v type
some mr2s have 123 i think

so basically bite the bullet and buy the 1uz ones cause u need 2
and if u buy the 1uz ones u get the bracket they come on

DONE, thanks Jim, ordered first thing this morning.

Just need to sort a belt to work with no power steer and no air con, finish fuel lines and I MIGHT make it to my Grandmothers 90th birthday on the weekend in the E30 lol

so all need to do is sort out temp and tacho
