i need a crank dimension please..

some tos*(& has "borrowed" my internal micrometer so i cant make this measurement...any chance someone knows the internal dia of the hole at the end of the crank?? (flywheel end)..as urgently need to give dia to machine shop, so as they can make me up an interference fit spigot bearing bush..

needs to be accurate measurement please and wish to fit this engine in for the last time this weekend..

According to RMS (engine builder extraordinaire) the crank spigot is 41.98-42.00mm.

That is the dia for the flywheel location spiggot John !

ID of spiggot bush housing is 31.9 mm.
Need to fit a ball bearing, not a plain bush if you expect any life !

except that wont fit my spigot..but i get the point..will look for 32 mm outer 3/4 inch inner (if it exists)

Zen,

A 32/19 will be hard to source.

I've had a lot of truble with a 32/15.

See if you can get someone to machine up a phosphor bronze bush to the dimensions you need.

May be a bit more exoensive but it will work.

The other option is search SKF and simillar bearing sites.

sorted now..retainer holding needle roller bearing..

will work for 32/15...
