1999 Toyota Altezza

Engine - Toyota 1UZFE 4.0L V8 quad cam 24-valve, stroked crank (4.5L), Eagle rods, JE pistons, Total Seal rings, oversized Manley valves, custom valve springs, custom steel cams, ported heads, 8 x 4AGE throttle bodies, 440cc injectors, 4x fuel pumps, twin Motec CDI ignition computers, twin 2" stainless exhausts, aluminium radiator, alloy oil cooler, Motec M8, dry sump.

Driveline - Richmond 5 speed road/race box with short shift, DVM chromoly flywheel, AP 3 plate racing clutch, AP slave cylinder, Supra LSD and axles, Skyline driveshaft.

Suspension - Proflex shocks with remote resrvoirs, Eibach coils

Brakes - Front - AP Racing 6 pot calipers with Pagid pads, 356mm rotors, braided lines, floor-mounted pedal box, Rear - Altezza calipers with Pagid pads.

Wheels/Tyres - Weds Racing 18x9", Dunlop type R race slicks.

Exterior - Aftermarket body kit consisting of front spoiler, rear bumper, side skirts, flared guards, in-cabin adjustable knife blades, fibreglass bonnet, carbon fibre wing.

Interior - Racetech 4009 FIA seats, Willans five-point harnesses, Motec stack dash, Momo steering wheel and knob, military spec wiring, chromemoly rollcage, Terratrip meters.

Performance - 500+bhp@ 8500rpm


As featured in NZ Performance Car, Nov 2004. The car was built to compete in the TargaNZ, circut racing, and possibly the Bathurst 24 HR.

look awesome, is there a write up somewhere? and does eagle make rods for the v8 or were they adpted to fit the stroker setup?

New Zealand Performance Car magazine cocked up when writing the article and stated that it had 24 valves and it would appear that TOBES just repeated what he read

I posted up about this quite a while ago and believe that the owner (or builder not 100% sure) was a member on these forums

Hi Guys

This is Boothys car. Seen it many times. Often gets suspension work done around the corner and tuned at another shop in Hamilton. Nice job.
