How strong is the 1UZ crankshaft?

Say i grind the 1UZ main journals down 4.6mm to 2.000".

Should the journals be nitrided or induction hardened? Am i going to break it with 1khp?

Nascar have been doing this for years.. Honda journals in a 350 Chevy...
The crank will possibly require some lanishing after nitriding...
