Krayn, im lookung at fitting a front mout rack so with any luck the rear bowl some souldn't have an issue

cloud some one also help with some standard tranny dimensions L,B,D what i am trying to do i see what the size difference is between the starndard lexus 4 speed auto and a holden trimatic wich my EH has already.

If the trimatic is anything like the T700 (VN SS auto) then its no bigger from memory.

I think this is a trimatic

The tranny on the right is a power glide. It came out of a HT holden. I had to cut the cross member chassis where it goes up into the trans tunnnell under the car for the A341e trans to fit neatly, where the power glide did not need this mod. I would think the EH floor pan/ trans tunnel would be smaller again than the HT. IF your EH is an auto shell you may have more room than a manual shell. Kris

You may not be able to use the standard rear sump anyway as it does not allow you to get the engine low enough at the front because of the deep crossmember and you may have to get a custon sump anyway. This is what I found with my HQ conversion and suspect an EH would be the same. Probably something to find out as you will pay more for a soarer front cut, which is pointless if you cannot use the sump.
PM QCA on this forum, he makes sumps and can fill you in on the limitations when fitting in most Holdens.
Cheers

hey thanks heaps Trev i will look up PM QCA and see if he can help me out. i can get a crown half cut for $2000 does that soun reasonable to you guys ????? or could i maybe get one cheaper through guys on this forum ??

I was never in the market for a front cut but when I got my engine (in Dec 04) I saw front cuts advertised for around $1500 to $2000. You are in Sydney so try a place called "Ichiban" I got my engine without gearbox and wiring loom for $900. They had a complete engine there for $600 but it had a pressure fault.

Good luck with it as it sounds tasty.

yeh thats where i got the price from, but i need ehg, auto tranny, loom, and ECUall standard ones. so it turned out cheaper for a front cut rather than just the bits and pieces

64EH,

The front cut is heaps cheaper than buying bits from all over the place.

My suggestion is buy a Crown and if you need to swap the sump talk to QCA who does a good deal on swapping sumps.

You can post a WTB for any other bits you want need or want to swap.
