Harder than Hard

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
I haven't found any other 1-3UZ Forum that even goes near us.

Forums tend to be Toyota but not 1-3UZ specific.

I think the answer is YES!

yup.

i would have to say that a good 80% of people on here are hardcore performance enthusiasts, 15% are drivers / restorers just looking for a good info base - the remaining 5% are dreamers, ricers, 15yo's on school holidays etc etc and they don't post that often anyways so we wouldn't even notice them.

well if hardcore means putn a 1-3uz in to anything imaginable then I say yes it is, lets face it some guys have one in anthing from a trike to a patrol, lextreme is tops...

I'd like to just say that 5 months age I didn't know Lexus made a V8. While talking to a guy at work who is putting some modern turbo 6 into a 280Z, he offerd me the idea to use a 1UZ-FE. So here I am and thanks to this fourm I am learning all I need to know. It's great, I don't have to **** around sifting through endless threads of how my car got phographed at the car show with the show girls blah blah my exhaust is bigger than yours blah blah etc.

Everyone gets right to the point and talks necessities. I love it!

Oh and I saw my first Lexus Ute today in Sydney city. I guess it's the tundra (is that what it's called?) Black, lowered with really classy seat covers made of Asian silk dress material. Number plate was LEXLUX. I like It.

I was 90% sure about putting a 1uz-fe into my 180sx. But after reading on this forum, now I am 110% sure that it is the right thing to do.

At other forums, people haven't event heard of this engine.

Nath,

LEX-LUX is a black 2WD Hi-Lux.

I've seen it up at Sunshine on Lake Macquarie. This is "holiday home territory" for Sydney and it lives around 500metres from our shack.

Very tidy looking car. I haven't spoken to the owner but next time I see it I'll have a chat and find out if he's a member and what he's done.

i had a referal to this site when i posed a question in another forum of what i was tossing up doing, 1UZ or 4.0 OHC ford six into XF falcon. ford motor would have been 19.76% easier, but wheres the class in that, theres a guy i'm going to meet soon(don't think he was the guy who posted the link) that did the ford swap and we are going to take each other for a" joy ride" to compare the conversions(he said he may have to fit his stock wheels as there may be some traction issues), he says he's is QUICK but it doesn't sound like a V8. he also had heard of these motors and was considering the same swap.

even though i bought my car alreardy done i was definately READY and ABLE to do this same conversion thanks to the info and encouragement from this site(still may make another but go manual and a little more "L"extreme)

ps. i was having major withdrawl simptoms when the site was down a few months back

The quality of the posts in this forum is among the best I´ve seen, I totally agree with Nath, this is absolutley the best 1-3 uz forum and also one of my favourite forums on the net - just because folks are keeping the quality of the discussions high and skips the b-s.

Its so good that this forum hasnt attracted the attitude that most others have, just down to earth genuine people that are prepared to help out

thi sis by far the best site i have ever seen regarding this motor, i dont even look on other sites now, and i must say a big thanks to the people that have taken the time to help me out.

as for the LEXLUX, i think it still has the stock motor, alot of minitruckers are like this (dreamers)

I haven't even found a decent source for 1UZ-3UZ info besides this place. But then again, I pretty much stopped when I found this. :) Seriously though, every time I look for info outside the forum, I end up with either links to the forum or nothing useful.

As lex told me before, that Im insaine about this site, I've not been a member long, but I've read it for a few years. I've always liked the SC300's and SC400's, but at the time never knew a lexus V8 was introduced in the 90's (being the ls400) and when I bought my 92 SC400 I was in love with the sound and the look (sadly Its not remaining in the SC400 body hehehe).

However, going from the MR2oc.com board to this one was awesome, not half as many idiots and a ton of fabricators, if its just adding suspension or intake to your SC400 to going insaine with engine build ups swaps and everything in between (turbos that is hehee). People would fight all the time and post about things they didnt know about. example, someone posted in the Turbo section giving advice but he didnt even own a turbo model! argh I cussed him out, oh there again cussing isnt allowed on that board lol. This has to be the awesomestestest board that I know of.

Thanks for reading my lame post

Werd,
Jeff
