Here's an interesting question... A MKIV Supra forged piston is 87.00mm. The bore on 1uz-fe is 87.37mm. Is this a proper clearance to install Supra forged pistons?
The 1uz-fe rods are very stout looking.. Would these rods with, a shotpeen, ARP Rod bolts, cryogenics, and Clevite bearings theortically be able to handle ~1000rwhp?
What I am thinking (possibly) is that the 1uz rods look about as stout as the MKIV rods, and people have already hit over 1000rwhp on a 100% stock MKIV bottom end. If we combine MKIV 87mm forged pistons, "treated" 1uz-fe rods, and new Clevite bearings, you'd have a bottom end that can rev to the moon, and have severe HP potential...
1.336 CH stock 1uz pistons...
1.338 CH forged MKIV pistons...
wrist pin diameter for both... 22mm
Can this work?
