From what I read on this and other Forums yes it is becoming a Fix or Repair Daily task but I think everyone forgets some of our cars are 15 years old.
The trouble as I see it is the cars are so good and still so capable we expect them to perform/behave like a 5 year old Ford/Chevrolet.
How many 15 year old Fords would still be running as well as a 15 year old Lexus.
The other thing to bear in mind how many 15 year old Fords had the sophisticated electronics and engineering on board that we have to fail? The more toys you got the more there is to fail.

Well in that case, Dave, just go out and buy a Mercedes SLK, fast and no repairs for 2-3 years... After that, take out a second mortgage to cover the repair costs...
