WARNING: Don't watch this video if:

1. You have less than 30 minutes to spare. (it's 20 minutes long, and once it starts you WILL watch it from beginning to end)

2. You think you already have the "ultimate street car". Wrong.

3. You have an incurable case of HP envy. This will make you go out and plunk down $160K for the GT plus another $40K or so for the TT kit.

1012 BHP with 898 lb-ft torque in a 2800 lb car.

I'll take one :slomo:
That reminds me of the old Can-Am cars! I remember reading about a driver that was asked by the engineers of one of the race cars, "what do you want in terms of power out of your car?". He said he just wanted to be able to spin the tires on demand at the end of the longest straightaway of any track he would race at. They gave it to him. I'm 29 yrs old so I actually read this in print... I wasn't even alive when this racing was going on but I wish I was there!!!

The Can-Am wiki =D

That's pretty much what we have here in this car... maybe, almost. I would still rather have an older Can-Am car or a F40. They both shoot flames and won't break nearly as much.

What a great bunch of guys. What understanding women they have. The person that put this video together has some skills as well.
Great link!! Thanx.

WOW 1000 bhp.. is that from a stock GT40 5.4 liter motor? I know the cobra with 4.6 liter making well over 600 bhp with the supercharger pulley, chip and exhaust.

Those cars at stock are damn fast...Saw one take off next to me a few months aga and it was gone.....Very fast without the twins...With the twins out right dangerous for street use...

I wonder how would a Tundra 4.7 Liter would react to twin GT35R. GTTT used twin GT35R in a 5.4 liter. From the diagram below. It seems like pretty good power starting from 3,000 rpm.

impressive. it's funny when the gt first came out they were criticizing it for an engine based on the 5.4 liter truck engine and not a real performance engine. It seems to handle power very well. I heard them mention that the motor is stock and that they had also increased the rev limit to 7200, so a stock large displacement v-8 that can hold 1000+rwhp and 7200 rpm is very impressive.

The Ford GT uses a highly-specialized version of the Modular engine. It is an all-aluminum dry-sump 5.4 L 4-valve DOHC version with a Lysholm screw-type supercharger and it showcases numerous technological features, such a dual fuel injectors per cylinder and oil squirters for the piston skirts, not found in other Ford Modular engines. It is rated at 550 hp (410 kW) and 500 ft·lbf (678 N·m), though independent testing has shown these numbers to be conservative, with GTs often producing numbers similar to the manufacturer flywheel ratings at the rear wheels on chassis dynamometers. The Shelby GT500 uses a 4-valve DOHC version of the iron-block 5.4 L Triton with an Eaton M122H Roots-type blower and air-to-liquid intercooler. It produces 500 hp (373 kW) and 480 ft·lbf (651 N·m) (SAE J1349 certified).

So this guy dumped the stock supercharger and ran a twin turbo system on the stock engine internals and produced 1000hp or so? Is that correct or am I missing something here?....Awesome dyno as it looks exactly like my last dyno.......................(in my dreams)....

One thing that amazes me is the Ford GTT makes over 1000 whp with its stock engine and fuel system. That proves Ford really paid attention to manufacturing this car. At the end of the clip, there's a white Lexus SC (hopefully it's a SC400) and I wonder if that car will be the next project.

That video is very awesome - I downloaded it, 203mb but great viewing!! :hypnotized: A streetable 1000 hp!!

With a 1000hp I am sure you can drop the hammer at 70mph and break loose the rears....That is sick...Maybe at 100mph too....A thousand horsepower on a car of that weight is sick.....May be too scary for most...

on the last issue of Road an Track(or Car and Driver), some one twin turboed a Gallardo and a GT. both to 600 HP, with another 700 HP kit for the GT. its also rumored that Lambo is making a Gallardo GT, with a turbo version of the 5L V10.

Had to drag up this thread as this car was talked about on a simular recent thread...

Again this is one heck of a ride at stock let alone now a 1000hp tt beast...Do you think the owner will let us test drive it?

I think we can test drive it, but it'll take some practice to get used to it without losing control like the owner did.
