Anyone know what is the final rear end gear ration for a SC400 vs. a LS400? I plan to put a TH400 in my SC400 and would like to know if can change out the SC400 final gear to LS400. I know the LS is little lover. The difference between 4th gear(A340E) and 3rd gear (TH400) is only 800 rpm. Right now my SC cruising at 70 mph on 3rd gear is about 3,500 rpm and fourth gear is about 2,700

The LS400 with the four speed auto was 3.61. The SC400 with the four speed auto was 3.92. Both were 3.26 when the five speed auto came around.

That being said, I am not sure if the complete rear end is a direct swap. The ultimate question would be whether the LS400 guys are running the Supra TT differential or not, and I don't know that answer to that.
