I have 195K miles on my 1990 LS400. Just wondering if I should consider replacing my fuel injectors and the fuel pump in the future. Any idea what would be the first symptoms that it needs to be done?
I guess its good to run some injector cleaner once a while. Unless u notice decrease performance, then u should consider the two above. However, u can go something cheap and easy by changing the fuel filter
Ya, the lifespans are mostly indefinite. So long you can't pin down a mileage on them. Most Toyota fuel filters & fueling setups are so long lived that they don't recommend any change interval. The fuel filters tend to last 100-150 ,000 miles, so who knows how long till the injectors need rebuilding, or the fuel pump fails under stock conditions.
