Engine Dies if not given constant gas...

Wondering if you can help me figure out whats wrong with my engine. First time it experienced this. The car will not stay running unless you continuessly give it gas. No matter what gear its in, it dies if you don't give it gas.
I don't know if it has anything to do with me detailing the engine bay, and also driving extremely fast; those are the only two out of the ordinary things i did before the problem.
Any ideas?

Did 'detailing the engine bay' involve a high pressure hose?

Perhaps he even blew off a vacuum line with the high pressure.

No, Just degreaser and water. I had adjusted the throttle cables, and it seemed fine, but then again today the same problem. I'm leaning toward saying the TPS is toast, but maybe something more simple?

No, i haven't done that. Didn't even think to. Why are you so sure that there is water in there?

Because you washed the engine and now it runs bad. Just a hunch. If you know you didn't spill the water in the head, then great. What about the distributor?

Yes, you could have a problem that simply popped up at the same time as washing the engine.

If you adjusted the throttle cables and it now won't idle I would think that's a good starting place.

Always look for what has changes to create a problem.

Check the idle valve, check the clerance of the throttle plate.
