Electric cutout on stock exhaust?

How effective would it be to install an exhaust cutout on the stock exhaust? This eBay kit has a remote control so that you could install the cutout without running wires into the cabin. It looks pretty simple and effective.

I could see it openng up a few hp up top with your vortech if you used a single 2.5" I.D. in place of the center cat. Maybe have a setup that bolts in/out for easy swapping for smog checks.

Some headers merging into a 3" center Y would sound nice hehe
