This thing happened to me when winter started, now that it's getting hotter it's starting again.
 
When i try to turn the car, my rack seems to "lock" and it's very hard to turn. and it's not locking on all the turning radius, only at a certain position. on 1 full turn wether left or right, it has "locking" about 3 times. like if I'm starting to turn it does this "eazy, VERY HARD, eazy, HARD, eazy HARD"
 
pump doesn't make any noise, fluid level is full, smell old power sterring fluid but doesn't look burnt.
 
can it be the distribution strap slipping on the pump's pulley? or my rack and pinion is dying?
 
Do the LS and SC share the same Rack? if so i'll be able to use my SC400 rack. This situation is kinda very dangerous.
 
 
2nd Question : Where can i find a cheap new transmission mount? (and/or engine mounts)
