Hi,
i have a couple of questions regarding wiring.

1/ the black/white stripe wire from the csi (cold start injection) temperature sensor, is this a ignition fed positive or is this wire a ground?

2/ the wiring to the throttle position sensor 2 (i.e the one connected to the opposite end of the butterfly that is controlled by the traction control stepper motor, is this wiring needed at all as there is 1 wire yellow/red stripe that goes to the ECU or will the engine run fine without this wire connected. i assume the blue/white stripe and the blue/red stripe go to the traction control ecu and the brown is a ground

any help greatly appreciated

thanks

John

John,

I can only answer #2 at the moment as my engine is out of the car so I can't check #1.

The engine will run with the t/c plugs unplugged so removing it altogether won't be a problem.

I'll ckeck my paperwork today for #1.

John,

The cold start sensor is grounded through it's body.

One wire in is the from the CSI (effectively it goes to earth through the temp sensor) and the other is 12v from the ignition.

I'd suggest looking for for the wire that goes to the CSI.

the black/white stripe wire i asked about must be the +12V as the other wire goed to the csi under the inlet manifold

thanks for you help it is greatly appreciated

John
