check engine light

ya i recently had temp problems, i fixed that, then i took a trip over 100 miles to chico for a night, ran great until we got there, then the check engine light came on. it didnt over heat on the way there. Also i tried to save money by puttin 87 octane in it...the car did however overheat the next day i think because i put to much water in the mix a week ago. but why would the light be, anything?? Im really worried about it this time.

also i forgot to say that the car is running fine...just that light is on.

hey jus reset the computer on accident and that fixed the engine light problem. i guess my negative cable came loose and caused the problem...i feel so relieved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
