I'd never belong to a club who'd have me as a member! ;o)
Seriously though I find marque orientated car clubs full of nasal sounding geeks who go on about period features and can quote part numbers verbatim. I've got an AC Cobra but don't belong to the Cobra Club UK as it's just the same old shite everyday.
I like Lextreme as it's only really marque related regarding the engine and I like the 'anything goes' attitude of what you sling it in, in fact it's fair to say Lextreme members positively encourage unusual creations.
The only other site or club I like is Pistonheads.co.uk which has a vast number of members from around the world and there's not much brand snobbery as it's actively discouraged. Any one who's a petrol head is welcome as long as it's a driving machine not a blinged up 4 pot 1 litre plastic endowed abortion with a 100000000w system. It's a forum where truley a kid with an old Golf can openly discuss with a Maclaren F1 owner about anything.
Lextreme gives me my more Techie fix and Pistonheads a more drivers orientated site.
