4 bolt main question

Im only shooting for maybe 450 500 wheel. On a single turbo 2uz. I finaly got back on top. And im gona build the bottom end. And put some boost to it.


I always post questions about this. But it doesnt look like manny people boost the 2uz

With the right turbo and TUNE with fuel supply to match power levels plus 20% safety margin..
The engine needs to be strong enough to make any reasonable power you want..
Turbo's or forced induction makes it so easy..
But a bad tune will kill any engine...
Lowering compression a little.. 9.5 on pentroof head gives some window for safe tune also...
Toyota did a good job on most there engines in this area..
Being 4 bolt on iron block won't weaken anything..
Keep in mind the iron block is used for durability in SUV's...

But do i need to go to a 4 bolt.

At that power level you should be fine...
If you want to strengthen ??
Then I guess some ARP studs can be fitted..

But way above any street engine...

Btw a turbo used for forced induction is a little easier on rotating assembly
at the same power levels..

Nice. Im lookin to spend about 5k total. And i have a friend building the turbo
