3uz sump vs 1uz sump On supra

Hey guys im doing my first engine swap on my mk3 and was wondering if the 3uz sump from the ls 430 is better or equal or worse to an sc 400 rear sump for subframe clearance. Ive read on older forums to go rear sump for mk3/mkiv swaps but Ive also seen a minority of people on facebook groups to use the mid size sump from the 3uz. Im kinda confused and would like some clarification to which to choose, thank you in advance.

Suggestion:- This is what I do, when doing an engine swap. With the sump off, sit the engine in the engine bay. Determine the height for the engine for alignment with the drive train. This may require fitting up the trans. Determine how far back you can place the engine with respect to the K-frame (front crossmember). Once your comfortable you know where the engine sits, remove it. Remover the K-frame and mount the engine on the k_frame outside the car. This will allow u to setup engine mounts and sump, maybe exhaust, etc.
Every engine swap has its challenges. Just cos someone does things a certain way, does mean that will work for your conversion.
