2uz questions

How much are the mounts going for? I've been debating this because I found a 2uz block pretty close for a decent amount of money, and of course the rods are shot.

Also, can I just use the 1uz's rods and pistons? I want to do it as cheap as possible, I'm not looking for a lot more power, just a bit more...

You can not put in 1uzfe pistons in 2uzfe. However, you can use the rods. If you are looking to do it cheap then u better stick with stock 1uzfe. At the same time you may able to get away with stock 2uzfe pistons with 1uzfe heads. Please pm me with the mounts question.

yeah i heard it was pretty common in the 2uz for the rods to go, but I figured for 60 dollars I really couldn't beat it.

You also need to check for sleeve damage and block damage. I just got a 4.7L VVTi and the broke rod damage one of the oil nozzles. You have to make sure they block is rebuildable.

I kinda forgot, but is the 2uz the 4.3 motor or the 4.7 motor ?

Does anyone know if the heads, Intake Manifold and Throttle body is the same on the 1uz 4.0 as the 430 motor ?
