1uz vvti questions?

Ok so most of you have read my idea on the Toyota 5.0 and after talking to a couple engine builders and taking in some advice from the forum it came clear that I would be way in over my head so I've decide to build a 1uz instead.

My questions are I've read on here and veight.com that on the later 1uz's that the rods are the weak point correct?
If so are the early 1uz rods interchangeable with the late model engine?
Are the cam selections as extensive as the earlier engines?
How difficult would it be to swap a vvti engine into a first gen Sc4?

I know that these questions are kind of broad but the search function isn't being friendly.

Any advice is appreciated and hope I'm not being annoying with all these questions and any more to come.

It is a good description of the rods. In short; yes they can interchange but you have to re-balance the crank assembly.

How difficult would it be to swap a vvti engine into a first gen Sc4?
Shouldn’t be too difficult, as long as you can get the electronics to work properly.
