1UZ throwing code 56 (hydro water pump)

Hi people, I have a 1UZ which is in a conversion. Its front sump with the hydro water pump. I swap the water pump to a belt drive and now its throwing code 56 (which is the hydo fan bypass)

The car revs freely when its first started but then throws this code and then hunts (revs raise and drop) Any help would be appreciated

The water pump runs off the cam drive belt, how did you swap the drive to it?

I think he means Hydraulic fan

Does it have a seperate ECU for the hydro fan? Mine did, removed that and end of problem

Thats right was hydro, now non hydro.

No seperate ECU.

No body knows how to bypass the hydro wiring in rder to stop throwing this code?

Having a problem with this code 56 in my 1uz hilux. The link that samsdad posted takes me to an unrelated thread about a trans issue.

I found another post that recommended grounding pin 1 of the 4th connector, no luck.

any help would be much appreciated

Do a search regarding hydro fan level
There is afew things u need to bypass on some celsior ecus
Much easier to not hook up check light
If engine runs fine then I wouldnt worry bout code
I've only had to trick two ecus
Everyone else ran fine
