1UZ Hilux Brake Booster Problems?!

My Hilux conversion running 1UZ is having problems with intermittently loosing mechanical assistance with braking from the Brake Booster.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before? What is the diff in vacuum produce between a 3L diesel and a 1UZ? Is it possible the 1UZ vacuum was too much and damaged the diaphragm?

Does anyone know if there is a brake booster in the US from a Tacoma or 4runner that can work on a LN 166 / MK5 Hilux ?

Do you have a one way valve in the system? Did you keep or remove the vaccuum tank from the diesel? Cheers

no idea about the hilux one but a common upgrade is the one from an 80series landcruiser

With the diesels the one way valve is part of the hose fitting for the little vacuum tank next to the booster so if you have removed this tank there's the problem
